Why Choose Us
People who care
We are passionate about children and their learning. All teaching teams engage in ongoing reflective korero, professional development, training and theoretical exploration.
Quality care & education
We follow the NZ Early Childhood Curriculum – Te Whariki. The Reggio Emilia principles incorporated into our program further support and develop children’s thinking and learning.
Free nappies & formula
We provide free nappies for our under 2 year olds and free S26 Step 2 formula for babies 6-12 months.
Cooked nutritious meals
Good nutrition is essential for optimal brain development in the early years. We provide beautifully cooked, well-balanced meals for your child.
Annual trips
Our annual trip involving the whole centre is something we all look forward to. These trips are additional to the trips each room organises for their group of children.
Active movement sessions
Our childcare centre offers weekly active movement sessions for our children, which are facilitated by Counties Manukau Sport for us.
Library visits
Library visits offer children a chance to get used to different reading styles, to enrich their vocabulary, to practice active listening and encourage reading at home.
Open-door policy
We have an open-door policy that allows parents and whanau to drop in at any time to play with their child.
B4 School Checks
Bright Sparks Childcare is part of the B4 School Check – a nationwide program that provides free health and development checks for 4 year olds.
Plunket visits
Through the Ministry of Health, every child in NZ is entitled to 8 free “Well Child” checks. This is where your child’s health, development and wellbeing are observed and assessed.
20 hours ECE
All 3-4 year old children attending our centre are entitled to receive 20 hours ECE to help you with the cost of early childhood education. This is a subsidy provided by the Government.
